The real reason for long stoppage of all the trains at Dangoaposi (DPS) station is that DPS is a staff recruiting station. The shifts of Drivers and Guards of all trains change at DPS Station.
KDJR is also a Staff recruiting station. While a train goes towards Cuttack, shifts of the Drivers and Guards of South Eastern Railway Zone end here and those of East Coast Railway Zone start from here. While a train returns, the reverse happens. KDJR serves as the demarcation line of SER and ECoR Zones as far as the shifts of the Drivers and Guards are concerned.
