NJP was expected to be among the top 5 highest earning stations of NFR as it serves a lot of places including Darjeeling, Sikkim, Siliguri (biggest city of North bengal) and Jalpaiguri. Shatabdi has also played a vital role in this revenue, last year it ran with an extra CC also all through out the year
The overall statistical measure are little flawed, to measure productivity lets see a metric revenue/Lakh passenger. If we see from those Dibrugarh actually did reasonably well along with GHY. While likes of KIR lagged behind significantly. Per passenger is very less for a significant station such as KIR. Reasons can be many, just another point of view.
NJP just did marginally better, although GHY did maintain per passenger revenue of around 480 while NJP had it more than 510.
