Amid celebrations of inaugural of Electric Traction in KTE-JBP section, let's move back to work! Pics from Jaitwar station in STA-MKP section. Basic OHE mast structures have been placed. Work will surely speed up.

Yes, it is possible. Even in the initial days of ET-JBP electrification, this was done with the freight.
I think this as an interim is a good idea. Rather attaching and detaching locos at katni /Jabalpur and similarly at cheoki / allahabad / ddu it's better railways should try out this option. This too will save precious fuel as the unelectrified section of katni- satna - manikpur is not that big. For this section alone railways will take more than a years time. So this idea can be mooted and loco use can be utilised much better
