Once i was in lhb bct rajdhani . My co passengers were a family of 5 with a grand lady , her son and daughter in law and their two kids .. The kids were a bit naughty but then who isnt in their age . After some time the soup was served but due to sudden jerk the kids Spilled a bit of it on their clothes due to jerk and their mother got angry and started scolding them and kids had their usual innocent look on their face . The next minute one more jerk and the mother spilled on her clothes and her anger tone suddenly changed and kids started laughing.
ya i read it. Here ICF shell mean no stainless steel. LHB is of full stainless steel hence costly.
Sir, the reason of jerking is predominantly (70%) is the suspensions system. If the suspension system is Hydraulic and pneumatic then the jerks won’t be felt at all. But here I think the suspension system is made of helix spring and that is why some tomes the springing action leads to sudden jerk and make unpleasant feeling. The remaining 30% is for track design.
IR had done a trial with dellner couplers and it is found to be satisfactory ,with less jerks. LTT SC duronto is the only rake fitted with these couplers. also IR is doing some trials with siemens bolsteless high speed bogies for main line trains. cureently running on one rake OF MRVC local
