Something like difference in elevation of the parallel rail tracks...acc. To physics...
IMO difference in elevation was not done as there was not much visible difference and this section involves a RUB. So if they would have taken block definitely it was affecting road traffic and I will be knowing if it happens as I travel through this place regularly either for personal work or train spotting. But some numbers were painted on track. That paint looked like recently painted
comparing two images, it looked like new image had new ballast, so they may have done ctr (complete track renewal), during this time they may have added more ballast on right side of track and less on left side, due to which track will be inclined.. and when train moves this banking provides balance against centrifugal force acting on train, but like i said it's just my guess
Yes you are right their is new ballast and I can see some inclination on opposite of previous check rail facility. So now train balances towards the centrifugal forces due to this banking of rail for some degree of height.. Usually previously we can see banking of roads only but slowly railways also using it..
