Rameez Shaikh~
Rameez Shaikh~ 217 blog posts#12163 has Perambur in its Timetable, but #12164 doesn't have. Why? And does booking ticket of #12163 for Perambur use the same GN list of Chennai Egmore? I see difference in Waiting list confirmation of last year in IRCTC 'confirm probability' button of Peramabur and Chennai Egmore though seat availability of both stations are same.
The distance between Perambur and Chennai Egmore is less than 10Kms,
So, both stations will go under GnWL
And 12163 takes approximately 1hrs to reach Chennai Egmore from Perambur, bcoz of platform availability constraint, so it seems the Stop has been provided for the passengers, whereas 12164 avoids this need for stoppage

Most of the trains to Chennai Central/Egmore via Perambur have a scheduled halt at Perambur(which is an important suburb of Chennai) for passengers in surrounding areas to deboard there itself instead of going all the way to MAS/MS.
