On that day, it was running with Bangalore Rajdhani's old pantry car with an image of Mysore Jaganmohan Palace on the window. (Refer /blog/post/3074699/0 )

There are trains which run on HOG even if they are hauled by diesel loco for a part of their journey enroute. The GKP Humsafar via Barhni gets a HOG WAP7 and runs on HOG between GD and ANVT. The WAP7 is attached at GKP itself and is towe by diesel loco from GKP to GD. Turning on/off an EOG shouldnt be a cumbersome process I guess. This pic is of 12295 coming to MAS for reversal. Sometimes 12295 gets WAP4 till MAS or a non HOG WAP7. So HOG is not a regular one between MAS and SBC.
Not really. You need to have EOGs/LHB SLRs even to run on HOG as you need them to connect the HOG cables from the loco. You cant do away the EOGs/LHB SLRs.
Better they introduce one more daily train to Pnbe from mas and divert Sangha via Perambur because one its carrying the huge load of two big cities
in my opinion 22351/12578 should be made bi-weekly to ease out some congestion in 12295
