Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has decided to run Mahakal Humsafar Express between Varanasi to Indore. This train will run three days a week....

1. Because taxpayer's money is being utilised to build the coaches. If something is being under-utilised, taxpayers have definite right to question it.
2. HS didn't cater to middle class people, whom it was intended for (at least not as much as it was expected to). It is not late even now. IR can make amends and make it more accessible for the middle class.
Please shed the thought that people should not question the government for its action. Please realise questioning, discussion and debate are integral part of our democracy.

Humsafar, Tejas exp these r not much required for passengers of India..... for certain routes and certain class of passengers its ok....but not for poor , labour, working class and also for middle class passengers.
According to me in IR some of the most preffered types of trains till date r:

Humsafar was actually a good idea. But, unnecessary 15%-20% higher fare + dynamic fare spelt a doom for it. In addition to that, improper timings and wrong days of run added to the misery. Result was a huge list of white elephant trains. Even now, it is not too late. IR can look at ways to increase the occupancy by changing source stations and tweaking TTs a bit. At the end of the day, what all of us want is higher occupancy of IR trains and safe & comfortable travel for all.
Yes that u said correct.....flexi-fare from Humsafar trains must be removed completely from all.
