I have to urgently travel to my hometown, my friend has a berth reserved in AC 3 tier. i dont have any reservation, he is ready to share his berth with me, Which ticket should i buy to travel in 3 tier?

you can by a WL3AC ticket from PRS & travel alongwith your friend...
PRS tickets are not available now... Is it possible to travel with first class unreserved ticket?
if chart is prepared then buy a general unreserved ticket consult the TTE telling the fact and b ready to pay the difference of 3A fare-general class if he agrees so
FIRST CLASS Ticket is eligible to travel in3 a/c/Acc/sl /2nd class . if have vacant .
Well then you can by a General unreserved ticket, & consult the concerned TTE at station itself, if he agrees then you may travel & pay the difference in ticket fare onboard...but it totaly depends on the TTE..( though mostly they agree)..
