Today evening a Commisioner of Railway Safety (CRS) Trial has been conducted between Guwahati - Kamakhya section (TKM - 15.563m) falling under Lumding division of NFR and has been successfully completed. With this the entire section between New Coochbehar - Guwahati is electrified with 25KV AC Traction making a clear path for upcoming Electric locomotives.
