Stating my trip report:
With the intention of catching 12987 Express from Sealdah, my friend and I reached there on the night of 12th, this month. Some coolies tried to capture us, though we avoided them at the taxi stand. Then we entered the station to see Padatik express is being readied to depart from platform number 8. I had the idea that we'll see our desired train on pf 9A or 9B only, as they are the only long platforms in SDAH. There were lot of Muslim people waiting for the train (Ajmer is a famous pilgrim's spot). RPF men made the general passengers' line which is a good thing in Kolkata stations. The train entered at 11 pm (1120 departing

time) at pf 9B. I went to the front of the train. What a long train! I took 15 minutes to reach the front and return. I spotted 22303 Santragachhi WAP4. I rather hoped for a better off- link like WAP7. I don't liked WAP4s. Suddenly, heard a deep honking........which appeared to be coming from a approaching WDG4 (12503 SGUJ), attached to the down rake of 15658 Kanchanjungha Express! So this was 3 hours and 45 minutes late, came with a lot of HCPVs as usual. 15 minutes later our train flagged off the platform.

Sir, this is only a rail bridge. It can't be a dam. The dam is situated north. And the the water- flow does not look like a man- made canal. What's this flow? Is it a canal or river? What's its name?
