Recently travelled in 3A from SNSI to SC after getting LHB, coaches are well maintained and there are OBHE staff through out the journey (surprised as nowadays SCR is negligent even with premium trains). There is a technician available all the time for every coach and the staff (SCR) are very professional as they are able to resolve any issues immediately. The coaches and wash rooms are very clean and there is no odour coming. Needs to see whether they can maintain this consistently.
When you have a train running with 14 AC coaches you should expect such levels of maintenance otherwise what's the use of paying such high fares.
To the one who had disagreed and feels 3AC fare is still subsidized. Out of 720 berths only 400 are in general quota 171 in tatkal being long distance fare is rs 300-400 extra for Shirdi long distance and another 54 are allocated to premium tatkal RAC 100 are alloted for 50 berths each berth double income so how can it be subsidized? From SL traveller is upgraded and paying 3 - 4 times more fare for long distance and service levels are expected.
Yes I know it's their responsibility, but I can't see the same maintenance even in SC-NZM Duronto. I have travelled from NZM to SC a couple of months ago, when they haven't cleaned the washroom or coaches through out the journey let alone the presence of OBHE staff.
Sadly, Nowadays SCR maintenance of its LHB trains is not up to the mark compared to the ICF days. I think only COA and KCG are still continuing the famed maintenance standards of SCR.
