When i saw too much protest for the extention of this train to karwar i tought it might get good response from the ppl.But i was shocked to see the current availablity of 13 seats in 3A and 5 seats in 2A and that too on november 9 when almost all the trains are running with heavy waitinglist

Your comment has been made within 10 days of the start of a new train. Most new trains take a couple of months to become popular
sorry i posted in weon train number ,actually i was speaking abt train from blore to karwar
I strongly feel that rather that rather than running with 5 coaches to kannur the railways should attach the kannur slip to train number 16527.This would be convinient to the ppl of kannur and also would reduce the wastage as train 16517 demand is too less compared to 16527
and guess what I read today's (November 19, 2012) udayavani newspaper and the railway board has given a green signal for all the coaches of this train to go to karwar (as there has been tremendous response to the service, they are making profits, the newspaper says) and the response has been poor for even that 5 coach train, and they are considering to extend the salem bound bangalore night train to mangalore.
Actually reservation for the train ihas opened only for dec 1 onwards.thats the main reason for poor response.And even if the ype exp via salem gets maq people will find hard to get tickets especially during weekends as ppl book tkt in the this train months in advace as its the only train from clt.If its extended to mlore i dont think ppl will prefer booking tkt 1 or 2 monts in advance as they have lots of busses and also a train with better timing and also the train will run almost empty between clt and maq
