Arunachala~ 468 blog postsGood News! Production of Non AC chair Cars for Intercity trains are resumed and SCR, ER got allotted handsome number of coaches already from MCF.
SR also started receiving allotment of Non-AC CC from ICF for ERS-SBC INTERCITY(Probably this train) as I remember reading a news that SR sent some order to ICF regarding this.

They should change the production of non ac chair car and make it as 10 seat cabine instead of 12 and increase fare accordingly ot will difreciate the UR and non ac chair car.
Suggestion is good, comfort will increase and fare can also be increased by 30% but carrying capacity of each coach will decrease 20 seats, most popular intercity run with 24 coach ICF and 10+ reerved coach means 200 seats will be reduced. Either reserve GS should be decreased or unreserved should be reduced but all ICF coaches whether reserved or unreserved they are 150 travellers in a coach. How would IR solve this problem in existing intercity trains. Only new intercity trains can have such coaches 2×3 for Reserved and IR is in no mode to introduce new trains. Whether people prefer or not they want to introduce only Vande Bharat and they the target for this year is 100 new rakes.
No fare will not increased by 30 % suppose 100 is fare then 1 cabine will give 100*12=1200 if there is 10 seat then 1200/10= 120/P the fare will increase by 20% but comfert will increase to Much and defrence between AC-CC and NON-AC-CC will conciderably reduce.
