I booked ticket Chandigarh to Borivali (Mumbai) by Train No. 22926/Paschim Express Coach No. S-9 / PNR No. 2602959060 for 11/02/2013 with 4 family members. Later got the boarding changed from New Delhi. But due to programme change, on 11/02/2013, I boarded train as per original booking i.e. Chandigarh to Borivali(Mumbai).

No chance for proceed .... you so lucky with buying general ticket... TT is right ..as rules you will pay penalty and fare...
The rule says that once you change your boarding point, you CAN NOT board from your original source then. The facility to have this change is granted only on the condition that you give railways full right to use your seat for the untravelled porting in any commercial/non-commercial way they want. This is clearly given in the rules on the official site.
TTE was right sir , u should have changed bp again after change of plan, since boarding point changed by u as per rules your tkt was vaccant , seat can be given to other passengers and u have not taken genral tkt also ?
TTE is right in your case. BP change is permitted only once and you loose out all rights on the previous leg of the journey.
