can any one tell what is the criteria of deciding the category of train between superfast and express.

1.DAKSHIN(SF) -- Avg speed 12722 - 55 Km/hr & 12721 - 56 Km/hr.
2.GT(SF) -- 12615 -- Avg Speed: 62 km/hr & 12616 -- Avg Speed: 61 km/hr
3.Brahmaputra Mail is not SF -- 14056 -- Avg Speed: 49 km/hr & 14055 -- Avg Speed: 47 km/hr.

More halts, avg speed > 55 = SF
less halts, avg speed < 55 = express
less halts, avg speed < 55 = express
If you are asking the criteria, then you are correct to some extent. But just to tell you, all trains are not named superfast. They are categorised due to their numbering
Trains having average more than 55 kms per hour are stated as superfast and are number as 2***(from 12/2011- *2****) and trains having speed less than 55 kms per hour are called normal M/E trains.these trains do not have 2 in second place
