I know about the reversal at Londa and also about reversal at Miraj for Kolhapur bound trains coming from Londa side but didn't knew that Miraj Solapur also needed one. Thanks Sir.
From Londa side, if you go to Miraj, Kolhapur bound track is on left side and Pandhapur bound track is on right side just before Miraj Junction:)
Well, as you said, SR has surely worked on your query. Maybe its not suitable for them to extend 12685, but again the reply is quite clear that SR is not intent on running a regular service via Konkan to MAO/VSG. Possibly CR can (I am thinking on the lines of this recently announced Mumbai-Vailankanni weekly via MS). It would be a boon for tourists/pilgrims to go via Konkan which will connect Udupi, Mookambika, and other places to MAS.
Its bureaucracy .... Why will IR run a train for the benefit of ppl unless its politically backed? CR can't do anything as its KRs jurisdiction and most importantly Mumbai Chennai via KR is a 30 hour travel....
But currently The Mail takes the same time, people who travel between MAS and CSTM are ready to accept anything that come their way as everyone knows this very, very tight sector runs with 150% occupancy on any given day. WLs simply do not move at all. Even buses are in demand though people have to cough up almost twice the money.
