Hi friends here I'm about to narrate a trip report which was done on 26th of April 2013 (Friday) from Lok Tilak Terminus
(LTT) to Shalimar (SHM)...
Reached LTT at around 23:30 Hrs (Thursday night) saw display board, it showed LTT SHM SUP SPL was to depart from platform
no (PF No) : 02, I reached quickly over there and over PF
...
No : 03 was standing LTT VARANASI SUP EXPRESS which was to
depart at 00:35 Hrs and there was usual serpentine queues of people waiting to board it...
Around 23:50 Hrs My train 08059 LTT SHM SUP SPL arrived which arrived with a WDS-6 CLA, and for nearly 10 minutes people
were waiting near the door to board it, as it was locked from inside... In mean while time an porter (coolie) was looking
at me and I too looking at him and giving friendly smile, with it he couldn't restrain himself, he came to me and was
asking me if I could enter the coach through the "Emergency window" to which I nodded my head... He some how opened the
window pane and helped me getting into the coach, while I quickly unlocked the door... and people were getting in like
ants and locusts...
After 5 minutes, I walked in with my luggage and comforted myself over my seat which was in S/2 23SL-24SU...
In meantime LTT VARANASI SUP EXP left PF No : 03... After around 15 min we felt an gentle jerk and we were gliding away
from LTT... waited near Vidyavihar to join main lines...Hi friends here I'm about to narrate a trip report which was done

After 5 minutes, I walked in with my luggage and comforted myself over my seat which was in S/2 23SL-24SU...
In meantime LTT VARANASI SUP EXP left PF No : 03... After around 15 min we felt an gentle jerk and we were gliding away
from LTT... waited near Vidyavihar to join main lines, I was hoping it would join 3rd line but as usual it joined 5th
line... we picked up nice speed around 80 KMPH and around Bhandup saw some train was about to overtake us, between Bhandup
- Nahur it was running parallel to us, due to dark I could not notice the name of it I could all see is CR mark over it's
coaches, to which I took out my torch and flashed the light over it's coaches and saw it was CSTM RJPB SUP EXPRESS... then
we halted at Thane for signal and proceeded to Kalyan... In Kalyan saw that LTT VARANASI SUP EXP was departing... at 02:05
Hrs we left Kalyan and after Titwala I was asleep to wake up at Igatpuri, saw nothing worth mentioning here, so it was
early morning when I woke up when we were skipping Chalisgaon... and when train was at curve I was trying to see which
loco was hauling it, saw it was some blue color WAG-7...
Reached Bhusaval at 09:10 Hrs, here saw an WAM-4 BSL hauled Surat - Bhusaval Passenger which arrived just after us, that I
had seen was standing at loop line to give us pass in Jalgaon...
There after it was customary for us to stand here and there in between small countryside station for green... Akola came
around 11:45... Then at Badnera we overtook Gondia bound Maharashtra Express which was WAP-4 BSL hauled, it was 12:30 Hrs
then... Thereafter we had a long unschedulled halt at Dhamangaon, here I got down to take some snaps, took snaps of name
plate and loco, while I was taking snaps an Railway employee asked me to take his snap too with the loco, to which I
smilingly agreed, here suddenly train got starter signal while I ran to board it... At Wardha too we halted for just a
minute, heew we met Mumbai bound 18030 SHM LTT EXPRESS with a WAP-4 HWH... Nagpur came at about 15:45 Hrs, here was halted
Pune bound 12130 AZAD HIND EXP just next to us, while we departed it was still standing as an HPCV was getting detached
from it to be attached to a WAP-4 ET... we crossed diamond crossing and after Kalamna train picked up speed not more than
50 KMPH, while I felt bored an slept to woke up near Rajnandgaon... Durg came and gone and before entering Raipur we were
again made to halt for 10 minutes... same thing repeated in Bilaspur too... It was over 23:50 Hrs we past Naila-Janjgir,
as I was standing at the coach end door to charge my cell phone, some times later I bushed my teeth and said good night to
myself to woke up in between Chankradharpur - Tatanagar admist the awesome rocky terrain of Chhota Nagpur plateau which
consists to yellowish-red hillocks... Tatanagar came around 06:00 Hrs and we were already 2:00 Hrs late than TT... train
had nice run till Nimpura, here again we halted to enter busy wold heritage site Kharagpur (world's longest platform)...
we left here as Secunderabad bound FALAKNUMA EXP was about to come... The train running pathetic till Mecheda as we were
trailing an Howrah bound EMU, later after that we were doing good at about 60 KMPH till Ulubaria, here again an EMU was
ahead us till Abada... I pulled up my luggage to the door and i was awaiting for an opportunity to alight if train halts
at Sankrail or 'll' alight at Sangragachi as planned... Sankrail came and past without halting, but train halted at Andul
as it 'll' join loop line to cross the main lines from left to right to enter Santragachi... While I alighted at Andul...
And trip came to an end in scorching heat of 36 degrees that too only at 10:30 Hrs...
At the end train was nice, but it's time table need to be tweaked a bit and forget the cleanliness as it's a special, so I
can't complain...
Hope you all like this trip report and saw the pictures too...
