Dear IRI Seniors,
I have booked this E Ticket for 2 Senior Citizens. I selected both Lower Berths; but have been allotted SU and UB.
What should one do to get Lower berths for senior citizens?
Plz Suggest...

You have to book two separate tickets. Not two berths in one ticket. SS quota is applicable only if travelling alone.
I can book separate tickets but
1) I have to pay IRCTC Charges+STax+Trx Charge etc
2) What if the senior citizens are allotted seats in different coaches? It would be worse than getting Upper seats in same coach.
Plz suggest...

Yes. Possibility is there that they be alloted in 2 different coaches. But This is the rule. The other option you can try is while proceeding for payment there would be an option to chose number of lower births required. One or All or None. You can try that out. If you don't get the lower births allotted, the ticket won't be booked but the payment would be successful. So IRCTC would reverse all the charges in few days. Also that, you have to go back to booking separatly no matter if they get berths in separate coaches.
