It works this way suppose I am a senior citizen and I book ticket under LB Quota.. Now the status of the train is in WL and LB Quota has been exhausted.. Now a senior citizen travelling alone will be alloted ticket in WL, now when I cancel my ticket booked under LB Quota, at charting that seat will be given to WL Senior citizen passenger..
When LB Quota seat is cancelled, the status WL status of ticket does not change..

does this implies that cancellation should happen from LB quota only to get it confirmed? Or simply if M60 of F45 travelling alone book a WL ticket it necessarily has to confirm on charting (i was of this assumption)
No cancellation of LB Quota is needed or ticket may confirm if WL is cleared.
Suppose a senior citizen books a ticket at WL#10, and before charting if WL and RAC clears and ticket gets confirmed , in this case he too is alloted berth of LB Quota (if vacany is there)..
After, this if there is a person with a higher WL, say WL#300 ticket and there is no WL pax eligible for LB Quota in between WL 10 and WL 300, LB Quota berth will be alloted to this passenger .....
