Rly officials say there's pressure not to shift Indore train to Konkan.

Is the DD Rake some priced possession for them?? I mean what on earth is forcing them to block the shifting of rake for Mumbai-Goa service

Well... the authorities seem to be struggling to hold up the rake in their possession. Had the demand been there, then RB wouldn't have decided to test the rake on KR. Even the 4 coach train is doing no good...running with so many vacant seats... Even the ICE running just manages to get sufficient patronage with 2S seats being full while CC remains vacant.
All CR is asking for 2 coaches for the time being to test the feasibility on Mumbai Goa Route. I would like some...

The Indian Railways is the defination of politics. Most of the decisions and announcements in the Railway budget along with train halts are political in nature. In short, most of the annoucements and decisions are illogical. Now take the Bhopal-Indore DD for instance. The decision to start this DD was politcal. As per reports, there is just no patronage for this train and yet, a AC DD was started. So the bigger question here is, who is responsible for starting this train on this route with no takers? Were the authorities expecting the guys travelling unreserved to patronise this train? Now take, the Mumbai-Goa route. For the record, there are just 3 trains. Most will agree, it is next to impossible to get reserved tickets on this train. Speaking about AC travel, The Konkan Kanya and Mandovi Express run with 4 3AC, 1 and a half 2 AC coaches and...
