Nagpur being my native, I have travelled in this train for Kalyan to Nagpur and vice-versa that too only twice i.e once in 12101 and once in 12102, both in 2AC. Never experienced the sleeper until 22nd of Dec month for Nagpur-Howrah travel.
I had booked 12809 Howrah Mail initially, keeping my sleep in mind as Howrah Mail arrives at around 6 am. so, I refrained from booking 12101 which arrives at 3:30 am. Also, But at last minute, it so happened that I made up my mind to travel in both LHB Shatabdi of Howrah i.e Ranchi as well as NJP Shatabdis.
Hence, I booked 12019 Shatabdi which departs at 6:05 am. And then, I was in need for 12101 ticket, whose' availability was in waiting. Hence, I decided to try for tatkal of 12101 Nagpur to Howrah and I got it successfully.
For my Mumbai to Nagpur travel, I had boarded 12289 Duronto Express. My Duronto Express, which I boarded on 21st, overtook Jnaneswari at Thane, after which Jnaneswari was trailing my duronto express right upto Igatpuri, where I saw SRC WAP-4#22840 alone, waiting for 12101 to arrive with WCAM-3.
My Duronto arrived Nagpur ontime. Afterwhich I boarded my Jnaneswari before scheduled arrival of the train as train arrived 14 mins early! The rain departed Nagpur ontime and gathered good speed as soon it crossed diamond crossing.
It arrived at Gondia, Durg and Raipur before time and got delayed a bit to arrive Bilaspur, afterwhich it reached 110+ kmph to cover up lost time. After that at all halts again the train arrived before time and finally arrived Howrah 2-3 mins late due to fog.
The sleeper maintainence of CR LTT is not upto the mark. Whereas cleaning is done well and done good by Bilaspur staff as well onboard cleaning staff. It's surely most important sf of the route.
