The Indian government has approved a survey for a new railway line between Khandwa and Alirajpur in the 2024-25 rail budget. This survey, costing over 1.5 crore rupees, will directly connect Nimar region to Gujarat and reduce the distance between Khandwa and Baroda by approximately 200 kilometers.
