Because the previous day's 12238's rake is used for next day's departure of 12237 from Varanasi post PM. Since 12238 would have been delayed 18+ hours, it would have reached Varanasi on the morning of 12237's departure. The additional delay is just to accommodate for PM for the train.

Sanehwal - New Morinda - Chandigarh Section is Single Line section that's why all the trains are getting delayed. And to add on to it, this 100+ kms long section has intermediate stations distanced 14-15 kms apart that's why even if a train has to wait for a crossing, it will take a good amount of time.

As for priority, I have only seen DLI-ASR and SVDK-NDLS Vande Bharat getting highest priority in this section crossing and overtaking most of the trains.

Yeah they already distributed between the Rohtak Dhuri route and Chandigarh route, with most of the trains plying on Chandigarh one.

With increasing delays, it seems like they have also shifted a few trains to Chandigarh - New Morinda Jn - Sirhind route with Rake Reversal at Sirhind.

These guys have got to be kidding me! Kitna stops denge bhai Begampura ko, pura passenger train bana dala hai. Koi MP LHB approval k liye nhi ladta hai, sirf stops chahiye in log ko. Jb ye train as a proper superfast chali thi, ye iske stops the between BSB and JAT - JOP, SLN, NHH, LKO, MB, SRE, UMB, LDH, JRC, PTKC aur ab dekho kitne hogye hain :(

Honestly, ab isko LHB mil jae to surprising hoga. Boht wait kia hai iske LHB ka. Varanasi Yard Remodelling bol bol kr rok rha tha railway. Ab to wo bhi complete hogya last year? Ab kya blocker hai LHB dene mein smjh nhi arha. Varanasi (BSB) mein sirf ek Kashi Mahakal Express ki LHB maintenance hoti hai aur kisi train ki nhi. Kashi Vishwanath Exp. ka terminal shift Manduadih LHB Maintenance ki wjh se hua tha kyuki Varanasi mein nhi thi wo facility. But Begampura ko nhi shift kr skte as Manduadih - Shivpur there is no connection, BSB mein reversal krna pdega jiska koi sense nhi hai. LHB kb milega can't say. Jha tk hai, it should get this year only.
