Common people want Private Train in Kolkata to NJP , Kolkata to Puri, Howrah to Dehradun, Kolkata to Kanyakumari & Kolkata to Mumbai route for better facilities, cleanliness & punctuality. Flight Fare is cheap now after privatization. So train fare may be more cheap

I think Rail should be half Private half Government PPP model. Some Rail department should be Private like Commercial, Store, Engineering Civil & RPF because this is too much Corrupt department. Rail officers Engineer take Bribe from Contractors who are doing Rail project Tender. Rail Engineer take 2% or 3% cutmoney percentage Commission from contractors. Besides Accounts department take bribe when Bill payment done. It is our tax payer money. But Operating Department ALP, Goods Guard, Trackman, Signal maintenance are really hard working & dedicated.
Yes , Privatization of Rail is needful like Ticket checker, Civil Engineer, Store etc
