rickson93 9 blog postsA Travel tip (avail on your own discretion) If you have a connecting train from MAQ(Mangalore Central) and by any chance 12133 is late, one can get down at Surathkal station board an auto and reach MAQ in just 30 min, though the auto charges are bit high ~ 300-350, at least you wont miss the connecting train(e.g - 16348).

This tip doesn't hold now. It takes an hour to reach MAQ by road from Surathkal and autos charge 400-500. Trains cover the distance in 25 minutes.since the Jokatte MAJN section is doubled.
The fastest train from MAS-HWH and the second fastest train from MAS-BZA after the Tamil Nadu Express.The legendary Coromandel Express is known for its time-keeping and reaches almost every station earlier or on time.
it is fastest from bza-mas, even faster than tamil nadu by 10 minutes in bza-mas section.... but friend it doesn't reach most of the stations on time... infact it reaches majority of the stations late by few minutes.. but this is the story of all indian railway trains...

This Journey Turned Out To Be A Nightmare. The Worst Train Journey In Last 5 Years. It Maintained Its Schedule Till ASN. From There It Started Getting Delayed. Reached PNBE & MGS 1 Hr Behind Schedule. As We Woke Up In The Morning, We Learned That The Train Is Running 4 Hours Late. And Since Then It Never Behaved Like A "Super Fast". Reached NDLS At 12 Noon. Pantry Staffs Are Worst Of All. Through Out The Journey, They Only Offered TEA & No Coffee. Even There Wasnt Biscuits With Tea Even Though They Charged INR 10/- . Even On Board House Keeping Staffs Were Not As Efficient As In Gyaneshwari Or Gitanjali

Don't worry I am with you. I have faced same problem with 12304 a little year ago. I would like to mention you that 12381/12382 Poorva Express via Gaya is more Punctual than 12303/12304 Poorva Express via Patna.
Yes u rite...POORVA EXPRESS via GAYA is more punctual and i give 4 out of 5 points bt POORVA EXP via PATNA should only get 2 out of 5 points
Dipanjanda, Poorva has Super Service. It was First Super Deluxe Train of India. Poorva is fifth Best train After Howrah Rajdhani, Sealdah Rajdhani, HWH-NDLS Duronto and SDAH-NDLS Duronto Between Kolkata and Delhi
I'll Travel By This Train On 31st Of This Month After 5 Long Years. Hope Things Have Improved Since I Have Traveled Last Time In 2015
To be honest, I'd prefer 12303 over 12273, as 12273 has less stops but appears to behind Poorva throughout the journey judging by time.
(Duronto has 5 stops - Poorva has 23. If you think about it. it should enough time to overtake, but Poorva remains ahead throughout)

If you are coming from Kerala or Mangalore to Londa travelling to Dandeli,please don't use this train because last bus to Dandeli from Londa is at 19:15 but this train reaches at 20:00.
I thought it is better to get off at Karwar and then catch a bus to Dandeli. I have not used this bus, but have heard somewhere. Needs to be confirmed
One of the best train from Puri to Howrah and Howrah to Puri. Most of the time its run on time. Most passenger prefers for its on time early morning arrival (04.50 am) at Howrah. Neat & clean, paper wrapped bedding provided by ECoR in ac coaches. Permanent loco link is Santragachi #WAP4.
