– Chintadripet, 80 MRTS EMU services (40 pairs) will be operated
between Chintadripet and Velachery. The remaining services which are
presently Cross sectoral, will be operated from/to Chennai Beach.

Chennai Beach – Chennai Egmore 4th line (4.3 Km) is an important project
proposed to be implemented at an estimated cost of Rs. 279 Cr. The 4th
will improve the operational efficiency paving the way for introduction of
additional passenger services and freight trains.
