I wasn't talking off the effect of the bus lobby on Jamshedpur bound passengers. It is clear that the bus lobby won. You are talking from a Purulia perspective ?
Bus lobby is even more prevalent in the Dhanbad - Tata sector. Most people exclusively take buses, taxis or personal cars only. Prospective travelers in this sector don't even have the train options that Purulia has.
Having said that I was talking off the chance of salvaging this crawler. It is quite clear that re-routing this train via Bokaro is a much better...

Ofcourse rerouting and compensation is better. What I am talking about is ultimately trains have to pass this CNI-TATA section which is now a commuter repellent. It's not a smooth entry like in case of Ranchi rather a very cumbersome one. No matter the train, no matter the route, commuters will tend to shift to buses due to CKP's squid game after their first experience. This has been happening since last 5 years or so. All commuter heavy trains run vacant post Kandra.
Considering my overwhelming positive experience recently in Ratna ! , I still track out every run to see the delays getting piled up to ludicrous levels, I have explicitly advised my family, relatives and dear friends to positively avoid the BNR line and the HWH-CSTM line at all possible costs. It is much better to circumvent this entire route by either going via RNC or the HWH-PRYJ-CSTM route. Atleast if not time, your sanity will definitely be preserved...
You should definitely give a try at Kandra-Gamharia-Adityapur to serve you next time.😆 I'm sure it will make a unique space in your archive.
