Sahi kiya railway ne bagal me Ayodhya cantt hai aur bagal me Ayodhya dham junction fir bhi is station pe train ruk rahi thi ab band kar diya late hone ki wajah se sahi kiya IR ne

It seems the decision to close station(s) has been taken across PAN India. Ref : /blog/post/5955250
Since ACND is roughly equidistant from AY and AYC, creating CDO there would be beneficial for both stations (as u mentioned)
