FraudsterConman 7672 blog postsIn last 8 yrs, Flights increased in Kolkata-Chennai route by 50 %. To facilitate business of CCU-MAA Flights, IR delibately & intentionally gave bad, worse & worst Timetable to Howrah/Shalimar bound trains from Chennai/TPTY/GNT. See timings of 12840(arr. 23.00 @ HWH) , 12664 & 12666(arr. 23.55 @ HWH) 12868(arr. 23.25 @ HWH), 18048(arr. 23.20 @ SHM), 22826(arr. 23.55 @ SHM), 22856( arr. 23.10 @ SRC), etc. trains. This has become a massive inconvenience to Passengers arriving at nearly 12 midnight hour in Howrah. Lack of Transportation from HWH station from 00.15 hrs to 04.00 hrs is becoming very worrisome to passengers. Passengers of SDAH main & South suburban are left stranded in HWH station as they can't reach KNJ, STB, RHA, Gede, BNJ, HNB, DH, NMKA, CG from HWH station, after arriving during 22.45 to 00.15 hrs. (Special mention, 11447 arriving at 22.40 hrs at HWH is also causing problem to...

Coromondel is a Daily train and Howrah-Puri Shatabdi is also a Daily train with nearby arrival and departure time from howrah with few hrs difference. So, only if HWH-Puri SHBTD is shifted to Shalimar then only Coromondel exp can be shifted back to HWH keeping load same on HWH platforms.
HWH-YPR and HWH-TPTY Humsafars r not daily trains, so notrequired to be shifted to SHM

That is a different topic. We r discussing on Coromondel exp terminal shifting back to Howrah right? Humsafars required or not is a different topic
I am nowadays advising those who can afford to take flight to kolkata. As for myself, always travelled by train only by MAS-HWH mail, TPJ-HWH, Coromandel or other trains. In future may prefer flights if these inconvenient timings are not changed.
All those trains , can be speeded up by 1 hr in the lines of MYS-HWH express with 14 stops. Then it might at least reach around 10:30 pm .

CTC to Jjkr - 72 km - timing 21 minutes
Jjkr to BHC - 43 KM - TIME 2 hrs
Samalkot se vskp - 150km - time 4 hrs

taaki SHM 23.55 baaje hi pouchhe, warna asani se 22.40 hrs SHM pouch sakta hain.

Aug 11 dep likely misprinted aug 10 is the date, also day run is mentioned as wed.

Sr sending rake on wed night itself otherwise rake has to stay at mas yard for 28 hrs+
So vaccant Thursday slot may go to haldia exp if it restored if they want to run,as Thursday old slot of haldia...

filhal same day return mai sabse bada TAT mas-bsp ko diya , i dont think MAS will keep this guy till 19.50
Also no other train runs on Sunday a slot is free
lets wait for PRS to enter the details then we can confirm from IRCTC

Worst TT possible. Is there no good arriving train from Chennai at Howrah??
12840 at 23.00! 12664 & 12665 at 23.55! GHY bound trains from MAS are going via DKAE. Now 22826 arrival joins at 23.55!. Only 12842, 22808 & 22842 are having good arrival time at HWH/SHM. #ShameOnSER

Actually if ecor reduces slack b/n bza-vskp and so on train can reach 30-45 mins early
Vskp div huge slacks for most slots 8-10 trains
Trains taking avg 6.45-7.30 hrs to reach vskp from. Bza side

For this slot they can reduce by 1hr 25mins BZA VSKp 6hrs so 60mins from VsKp HWH 14hrs so 25mins.
Coromandel must be brought back to HWH. I think if Coromandel timings are changed., then it will be easy. For 12841:- HWH 17.45, KGP 19.35; BBS 00.20; KUR 00.55; VSKP 07.10/30; BZA 13.00/10; MAS 19.45| For 12840:- MAS 00.15; VSKP 12.50/13.10; HWH 03.30| For 12839:- HWH 00.20; KGP 02.05; BBS 06.50/55; KUR 07.15/30; VSKP 14.10/30; BZA 20.30/45; MAS 03.20| For 12842:- MAS 08.00; BZA 14.35/45; VSKP 21.00/20; KUR 03.35/45; BBS 04.05/10; CTC 04.40/45; KGP 09.15/20; HWH 11.30| 12663/64, 12665/66 & 22831/32 shifts to SHM & 12841/42 returns to HWH.
Yes correct. Coromandel needs to be sent back to Howrah. Never understood what was the reason for moving to SHM. Was it to lessen congestion at Howrah ? Closely follows the important Tata-Howrah Steel express from KGP onwards and hence not sure if moved to SHM because of this. Old dep time of 8am from MAS was much better. There were passengers from TVC side especially from military who used to use TVC-MAS mail connection & then board Coromandel exp in its earlier time of 8am dep .
If coromandal returns back to BWH then I will be the happiest person in the world
