In up direction , HWH Rajdhani leads the pack, still it gets delayed regularly while entering NDLS while SDAH Rajdhani despite being the last in the pack, manages to arrive NDLS before time almost on all days. Don't understand why IR is giving step motherly treatment to HWH Rajdhani nowadays.
It doesn't matter what you or I think, it only matters what the railway officials think. We are just railfans with very little knowledge about railways. (The gyanis of kolkata based WhatsApp university groups, who try to pose themselves as railway officers, having little or no knowledge, used to inspire such mentality ....বাংলায় বলে ফাঁকা কলসির আওয়াজ বেশি।.)
It is better not to provide such statements on railway operations, there are UPSC qualified officers to operate railways.

I believe BBS Raj leads the pack now. There's no reason to delay a particular train extra by IR, could be some unfortunate incidents or maintenance issues with HWH shed locos

2. SDAH Raj has a good 15 mins slack in CNB-NDLS section.
3. If you are talking about HWH Raj getting late in the last few days, its because of the late areival of HWH Raj at DDU most probably. 12423 departs earlier from DDU and then 12301 has to trail it all the way to NDLS, getting delayed by 20-25 mins.
