Yet another new frontier under the jurisdiction of Northeast Frontier Railway.

Featuring Shokuvi (a.k.a. Sukhovi) railway station from the state of Nagaland. Although, IR is already connected to Nagaland via Dimapur railway station located on the Lumding - Furkating - New Tinsukia stretch, the route to Shokuvi is a brand new frontier which will be extended all the way to the state capital i.e. Kohima. The line to Shokuvi branches off from Dhansiri Junction which is also located on the Lumding - New Tinsukia stretch.

Frame1: Bihari Alco in land of Nagas. Samastipur (SPJ) WDG 3A # 13332 idling at Shokuvi with inspection special. Honourable ADRM / LMG had paid a visit that day to inspect the all round development & work in progress towards Kohima.

Rest of the frames feature glimpses of Shokuvi railway station which also includes 15817/18 NHLN - SKHV Donyi Polo Express, the only mail/express plying to this station & it's designated power for the trip, New Guwahati (NGC) WDP 4D # 40141 (ex-SGUJ). The other train which serves Shokuvi is a biweekly passenger service (05605/05606) from Guwahati.
