Amarvati Express is affectionately known as Chinna Ammu. It used to run between Hubballi and Vijayawada, but now it has been extended to Narsapur. Here, you can see it entering Sri Siddharoodha Swami Ji Hubballi Junction, led by an offlink Guntakal WAG7.

Two trains, the Hosapete - Ballari DEMU Special and Vijayawada - SSS Hubballi Amaravati Express, met up at Ballari Cantonment Halt on December 9th, 2023. The Amaravati Express was pulled by the Vijayawada WAP-4 loco #22597. Check out the cool smoke from the DEMU and the loud honk from the electric loco.
