We cannot change this train to LHB as this site is not affiliated to Indian Railways. This is a site run by rail enthusiasts.
As far as this train is concerned just see my screen name. I'm a die hard fan of this train but sadly this train carries slip coaches between Guntakal to Vasco Da Gama untill and unless those are cancelled this train won't get LHB rakes.
This is the longest running ICF train of SER zone now unfortunately still there are no positive signs of the slip getting

Also second problem with the slip is this is a high in demand train but due to slip coaches number of coaches in the train have been restricted to only 19 that too without a pantry car for such a long 40 hour journey.

Timings of this train are differing on IRCTC compared to IRI at many stations like SRC, KGP, VZM, BZA, etc.

Did the talks yield any results are SCR ready to cancel the slip, 2023-24 is gone now does this train have even a slight chance of getting LHB rakes atleast in FY 2024-25 ??
The ICF rakes are in horrible condition the train badly needs LHB rakes and more AC coaches

It's not with SCR its SWR which should be ready to give a new slot from Hubli to Vasco. At present Hyd Vasco and Tirupati Vasco are running with single rake and rakes and roaming here and there as spls. SCR wanted to increase frequency of both to triweekly.

Many link trains were cancelled without giving an alternative for the cancelled link train like for eg. the Kalka slip carried by Paschim express. Now after QLM CLR doubling put on hold by Supreme court I doubt SWR will allow HYB Goa train so that doesn't mean this slip should continue. Just see SER have given LHB rakes to all of its long distance trains except this one and SHM LTT exp.
So regardless of the fact HYB Goa new train is introduced or not this slip should be cancelled ASAP. Also VSG KCG slip they have to wait for 4.5 hours at GTL for connecting train that's literally a joke. Secondly they can also increase VSG to SC and SC

Also VSG TPTY link can be cancelled and VSG HYB weekly can be run with full rake as if my memory serves me right SCR had actually asked for a dedicated HYB VSG train but as it was election time the Goan politicians lobbied and got the TPTY link started too it was a bad decision RB shouldn't have allowed a new link train in the first place but unfortunately they did.

Such a big slack this train has between GNT to GTL. It easily recovered a 2 hrs delay and arrived GTL 15 minutes BT.
Also because of the slip attachment and detachment at GTL in addition to loco change it had to take a long 50 minutes halt. If slip is cancelled the loco change can be completed in much less time or shifted to UBL.
In the end it reached VSG just 5 minutes late.

train can be easily speeded up by 2 hours if slip is cancelled and LHB rakes given. SER should definitely put up such proposal in next financial year.
Also completion of GNT GTL doubling will also help.

Dude ...if SER demands like coach increase or speed increase in SWR, then surely Amaravati will become the next Coromandel and Goa exp......
And 10 SL coaches are sufficient, yes but if reduced then serious complications will happen.
Post slip removal and LHBfication, the rake composition should be
Loco.SLRD.Gen.Gen.S1.S2.S3.S4.S5.S6.S7.S8.S9.S10.B1.B2.B3.B4.B5.A1.SLR.

10 SL coaches are too much for this train. People in Goa including many migrants can afford 3AC fares.
These days many migrants in Goa I have seen opting even tatkal in 2AC rather than SL class. Wage rates in Goa are pretty good and it's not like West Bengal migrants travel to and fro every month. Maybe once or twice a year. And if this train has high number of 3AC coaches it would be beneficial to them too.

Come once to SHM or KGP or BLS during this train's timings. You will understand the need and demand in SL class. How much crowded this gets. I regularly see this train at BLS and have travelled many times from BLS to JJKR in SL class throughout the year. Its just so crowded with people in SL class. Difficult to even walk in corridors or to toilet.

Crowded means Railways are inefficient in handling the people boarding SL coaches. Anyways Railways can always run an additional weekly train with only SL and GS coaches between HWH and VSG.
More AC coaches are beneficial to both Railways as well as people in general.
A good way to manage excess crowd is reserving the GS coaches in all SF and M/E trains like they did during COVID and reducing the amount of WL allowed.

Agree Disagree:Reducing SL coaches is a necessity.
Reducing the SL coaches will only increase the crowd and people will suffer more. And starting a new train nowadays is just a political gimmick. Govt doesnt care for needs. They just use this for their political benefits.
