They say MAQ's yard is congested. They say shunting trains from MAQ PF to yard is very cumbersome. But still they shunt MS MAQ out in the night and then back in just for secondary maintenance when they can simply do this!If this happens, Gomteshwara can go all the way to MAQ and get maintained there, no PF issues, no yard space crunch.

So finally after a gap of almost a week, the train services between Palakkad-Mangalore have been restored , though with a bit of speed restrictions at various places between SRR-CLT stretch.This will now help stranded passengers to some extent. Trains like MAS-MAQ Mail, YPR-Kannur express & MAQ-Egmore express can now resume their full journey.

Amritha Exp to run Independently soon- Manorama PGT Edition Reports:-Once it's freed from its existing Rajyarani Link, 16343 is expected to reach OTP around 05.28 AM & PGT around 6.10 AM, PGTN 7AM, POY 8 AM and MDU Before 12 PM. But there won't be much change in the existing timings of 16344 as per the news. Also, Rajyarani is expected to depart SRR around 10.25 PM and would be first to reach Trivandrum (Kochuveli). And on the reverse direction, Amritha would depart first from TVC and then Rajyarani from Kochuveli within a span of half an hr.

Happy News : Soon amrita and rajyarani will be made independent. Present 8 coacher rajyarani will be 18 coacher and it will become KCVL NIL. Amrita having 15 coaches at present will be increased to 22 with addition of ac coaches and it will skip SRR. Courtesy manorama PGT.

EXTENSION OF AMRITHA EXP TO MDU FROM NOV ONWARDSAs per the report,1. Tvc-PGTN amrita exp will be extended to mdu from nov. New TT and stoppages will be announced in a few days.2. Ms- tvc anathapuri exp will be extended to kolam.3. The present 5 days services of allp- can 16307 will be increased to 7 days.4. As per the report, 1) Extension of Amrita exp to mdu and mas plni to Pgt is almost confirmed in the new Timetable.2) Lack of rakes is the major concern for amrita and rajyarani exp to run as independent trains and in introduction of majn rmm exp.3) The passenger trains run as specials in PGT-POY may be restored with convenient timings.Source: Mathrubhumi pgt edition dt 07/10/17
