Can't say that but the pics depicted that the coromandal WAP7 has climbed upon the freight. So by watching this i can say that derailment didn't happen untill it hit the rear end of the freight.Don't know what really has happened yet...some says derailment some says signal failure some says conspiracy....don't know clear.Have found a document of preliminary information...and by surprise it says YPR HWH derailed and hits the coromandal. I can't believe what's true and what's not.

Even I used to think that only. Thats why the points are called interlocked, but here some rare failure seems to have occured as mentioned by the investigation committee in point no 4 & 12 where in reality, point was set to loop line but showed train will pass through main line in station master's screen.

Agar ICF hota toh situation aur bhi buri hoti entire coaches would have rammed into each other instead of the few initial ones. As per schedule 12864 would have been much ahead of the spot coz of delay it met the ill fate and as per actual schedule the train which was supposed to pass was 18048 VSG SHM express which is ICF rake but it was running delayed since previous day ie. 1st June itself so spared.

It appears to be fault of Point machine No.17 which transfers trains from Up main to Up loop (in screenshot). Some S&T dept staffs are highlighting that just before Up Coromandel came, S&T department was working on the said pt machine no17 by T/351 memo. It appears that there was some human error because of which the points malfunctioned (but did not reflect in the monitor of Electronic Interlocking where Station master was sitting). Detailed report will confirm the case. CCRS investigation must be ordered This accident opens a huge scope for case study, reliability of LHB coaches, quality of materials...

Yes you r correct. Coromandal was supposed to pass through the main line but sadly at the speed of 127km/h it went on the loop line and hit freight from the rear end.

It is not a loop line as you thinking. It is a machine siding which takes off from the Up loop (it is visible in the EI monitor video attached). Two Goods occupied the up loop (Signal7) & dn loop respectively (S8) (appearing as red in loop lines in 1st screenshot)Then YPR HWH came first on dn main (S12-advanced starter), & within fraction of seconds UP Coromandel came on up main (through up home signal S/C1) as appearing in monitor of electronic interlocking 2nd screenshot
