sir,More than two decade CHENNAI METRO and MUMBAI METRO are deprived of another various possible routes s to be connected such as
1)MUMBAI-KONKAN-MADGAON -HUBLI-BELLARY-GUNTAKAL-CHENNAI ,
2)MUMBAI-PUNE-HUBLI-CHENNAI,
3)MUMBAI-PUNE-BIJAPUR-GADAG-CHENNAI.

operated in these routes for the benefit of the intermediate stations which are well connected to both METROS,One in the Bay of Bengal Coastal and the other in the Arabian Coastal.

a new train from chennai to mumbai can be proposed via ms-ru-hx-gy-krnt-gwd-rc. If you think that gtl route is over congested. In my perception better to continue those MAS-CSTM trains via gtl route not to get disturb.

SWR wont allow for MUMBAI-KONKAN-MADGAON -HUBLI-BELLARY-GUNTAKAL-CHENNAI ,.
A daily between CSTM-MAS via the remaining two routes , 3 days via Hubli and 3 daysvia Bijapur and one day via KRNT is a good suggestion from you . The old idea of permanently diverting is bad , we should not disturb the popular train's routes.
