IR should be augmented passenger patronages and Goods services over Road transport mode. Rail transportation is the cheapest one over the Road transportation. At-least 10 to 20 % of the Road transportation sector have to be shifted to the Rail transportation by the suitable passenger / goods friendly tariffs

In some routes, Road is faster than Rail, and people who can afford 2A , 1A in Rajdhanis etc are opting for flights.

Inspite of huge hype and propaganda the attached data sheet clearly says that fare hike policy, High fare trains, Hike in freight rates have made huge negative impact on IR earning.
Huge decline in numbers of passenger and goods loading proves that Prabhu Ji needs to adopt some innovative methods over current easy way of make everything expensive and fill coffer.
