I fully support the petitioner against the SR... But is it really closed ???
SR has no reasons to close this Rly Station named Karuppatti... Karuppatty RS in Dindigul DG and Madurai MDU between Sholavandan SDN and Vadipatti VDP ...
It is a halt station and two of local passengers (if not expresses) stop here ...
If they had predicted...
more... low passengers/ lower ticket sales in this RS, they should NOT have built a RS, Platforms and wasted public money...
On another side, in the GC line between POY - PTJ, Kovilpalayam Rly Station which was closed in MG era due to low ticket sales and technical reasons (halt) is not even considered for opening it again and even the public is heavily demanding for opening of this Kovilpalayam RS building RS and platforms, which would be used by nearby about 12 of rural villages for their daily transits to the city of Coimbatore for business, work, study purposes ....
If Karuppatty RS is really closed, voices should be raised to open this again... more passengers trains (specially long distance) can be stopped ...

Pax surely would be using trains if more trains stop (especially long distance) catering to TPJ, TJ, PLNI, POY, TEN as it is cheap and comfortable in this BG era comparing to buses, even though RS is distant from nearby villages and highway too ...
Of course, I agree that, it would be certainly catering to <10 pax per stopping ...
