There should be a move by all railway passengers travelling by Shatabdi, Rajdhani & Duronto trains to travel by air. As it is now u have to book your train ticket 4 months in advance. Book your air tickets 4 months in advance. You will certainly have to pay less by air than train. It will be time saving and more comfortable. Just for earning INR 400 crores, railways has taken a huge risk. It is bound to have a political impact as well.

what if someone city dont have airport
what if airport is very far away from city
what if flight timing are too inconvenient.
its impossible to switch to air because airway has lot of its own issues..
