Unfortunate decision. If you could grant 1 lakh crore Bailout package to Air India then why don't to this PSU which is a source of livelihood for thousands of poor and that too in one one the most economically backward region of this country.
Many of the govt industries are not performing well due to bad management/ work-culture/ political interference etc.
Giving Voluntary retirement is a very costly affair for govt as well as it is very bad for employees who lose the job.
It is better to privatise such industries so that they can run competitively and provide jobs to the employees.
