Really bad idea to use army for construction of FOBs. Are they supposed to defend the nation or do construction work ? The idea to use the Indian Army by IR to build a FOB angers the citizens of the country.
But here railways didn't requested. Interest was shown by Army for constructing these FOBs.
When the tragedy occurred on Elphinstone bridge in October, Army came forward for constructing FOBs across Mumbai, this is realted news that designs were not according to Railway standards.
