I didn't find procuring the rakes of Indian made in the entire report.. Does this report incomplete what they posted above? I am not saying everything about Ahmedabad I am just taking big deals with big investments.. Which costs more and I also see Japan is funding their so might be conditions to procure imported world class rakes itself and for signalling and control procure their Japanese brand.. Mitsubishi..

It is usually a part of the financing agreements. These countries provide us with the loans for constructing the metro, and in return, we need to procure the technology or equipment from them for a set period of time.
In the long run, this is somewhat beneficial for us, as we can learn a lot from these imported rakes, and we can incorporate the technology into our own products.

That's very smart way of conditions they keep isn't it? Giving technology and want to procure material from their country only so total spending will be for their market itself and in return we can get high end technology and metro services.. And finally pay loan for what we spent on procurement of their material, technology and installation, commissioning costs.. They giving loan to us with helping their market to sell material to our country metro services.. We also should learn such business and financial things whenever we try to execute any abroad projects of our country..
