That is why it is financially prudent to take up a new rail line project simultaneously on all stretches and complete it in 4-5 years rather than taking up in multiple phases and completing in 20 years. Present approach adersely affects the financial viability of these projects. Huge operational losses in such cases on sustained basis is a huge financial burden on IR.
