However, the Bangalore-Chennai route has surprisingly seen a high demand with tickets fully booked. A special train, train number 06038, operating on Wednesdays only, has been introduced for the Mysore-Chennai Central route. This special train, initially scheduled to end on January 31st, has now been extended till March 27th. However, the regular train service seems to have limited popularity, as evidenced by the ticket booking data. It remains to be seen if the special train service will be successful.
