not new. You can still use your waiting ticket to travel in a general coach. If you board a reserved coach, you will be charged a fare for the distance traveled and a minimum fine of ₹440. The recent crackdown on using waiting tickets for reserved coaches comes after a rise in complaints about overcrowding due to people using waiting tickets to travel in reserved coaches. If you have a waiting ticket, it's best to cancel it at the counter at least 30 minutes before departure and make your own travel arrangements.

Agar aap reserved coach mein jaate ho, to aapko aapke safar ki duri ka kiraaya aur ₹440 ka minimum fine dena padega. Iska reason yeh hai ki aajkal reserved coach mein bahut bheed hoti hai, aur waiting ticket se reserve coach mein jaane ki wajah se bahut complaints aayi hain. Isliye, agar aapke pass waiting ticket hai, to aap apni journey se kam se kam 30 minutes pehle counter se cancel karwa lo aur apna travel arrange karlo.
