Delhi Metro sees massive jump in theft cases! Nearly 4000 cases reported so far

The Delhi Metro has seen a significant rise in theft incidents this year, with 3,952 cases reported, a 242 case increase from last year. This includes pickpocketing, missing phones, and stolen valuables. Most cases are registered via e-FIRs, with a resolution rate of 548 out of 3,898 cases this year....

Motor vehicle thefts have also increased, with 81 cases reported this year compared to 72 last year, with 56 resolved. Burglary cases have also seen a significant rise from 3 last year to 11 this year. Security measures are managed by Delhi Police, CISF, and DMRC personnel, with regular patrols and frisking conducted.
