The completion of the line has led to strong demands for a Mumbai-Naliya train, as many people from Abdasa taluka, particularly the Bhanushali community, have settled in Mumbai and travel back for festivals and events. There is also a demand to extend the new Rajkot-Bhuj train to Naliya.
