* SECR should have got got 5141 crore and not 5141,000 crore as per news headline.
* SECR had been top earner for IR, and earlier SECR was getting a few hundred crores only. Only since last 3-4 years it is getting above 1000 crors and that fact is appreciable. However it deserve much more.

actually 5000 cr is a good amount for a zone which got nothing before 2014...patrika newspaper is the most negative critical hindi daily..habitually it makes good news look the worst ones...according to it SECR should get 19000 Crores minimum..Is it possible ? such newspapers should be avoided

It is expected that rote shall be mostly parallel to existing trunkline to minimise the troublesome land acquisition with detours at locations were land is not available. Bhilai-Raipur-Durg is industrial area of CG and should be served by the proposed DFC.

Y'are right that the new routes and doublings of SECR/CG are meant for increasing freight traffic, so the rate of return on investment on SECR projects had been highest till 2015, which may come down in future if investment in Guage conversion increase.
DGG-Khairagarh-Kawardha-BSP route was surveyed twice in eighties & in late nineties and declared financially unviable. Today probably coal/bauxite transportation is expected from this line
