जसीडीह - दुमका सेक्शन में स्थित मोहनपुर स्टेशन का विस्तार हो रहा है। पहले से यहाँ अप और डाउन लाइन का एक-एक प्लेटफार्म था। दो अतिरिक्त प्लेटफार्म बन रहे हैं जिससे अब यहॉं चार प्लेटफार्म हो जायेंगे। उल्लेखनीय है कि गोड्डा को जसीडीह से जोड़ने वाली निर्माणाधीन लाइन, मोहनपुर में ही मिलने जा रही है, इसलिए गोड्डा वाली लाइन से आने वाली ट्रेनों के लिए ही अतिरिक्त प्लेटफार्म का निर्माण किया जा रहा है। इससे इस स्टेशन को जंक्शन का दर्जा मिल जाएगा।
